May a company pass on my email address to another company/persons which is now using it to send messages to all on that list info about their products and services ? NO permission was given. Please advise as if it is legal and what to do.

Some scrupulous companies will have a blanket waiver I their t&c that they can pass on data to 3rd parties.

Even POPI will not help you with it unless the addresses were sold on, but this is difficult you prove.

Unless the companies are completely unrelated, it will be tough to take any action. Use the ECT act rather for unsolicited email.
