Password protected word files on WM ????

Hi guys,

I have searched everywhere but i cant find any solution for this.

I have a password protected .docx (Office 2007 Word) file on my PC,which i have copied to my HTC Touch HD,but i cant open it using pocket word,i get the following message :"Password protected files are not supported"...

Is there any work around for this,or any alternative software i can use which supports password protected word files?

I want to keep the file password protected prefferably,as it contains some personal inforamtion.

Textmaker (http://www.softmaker.com/english/ofp_en.htm) will open password protected Word files, though it doesn't as yet support docx files. The software works amazingly well - hard to believe they can cram all those features into such a small footprint - but it is pricey. You could save the file in 2003 format and use it like that, retaining the password protection.

Not sure if there's anything else that will help you.

What about a password protected zip file with the un-protected docs inside (just as easy to get past as a password protected doc)? Can your phone handle these?
