Past legends in today's game

So I've been thinking about this for a while. Do you think that past legends (Pele, Maradona, Cruyff etc. etc.) would have been better players if they played football today?

If you look at today's game, there are vast improvements. Pitches are better maintained, boots are lighter, have better grip, etc., soccer balls are more technologically advanced. I'm sure the training methods used today are different from 20, 30 years ago. Supplements players take have improved as well as rehab methods so players can come back from an injury faster.

We like to compare today's players to past legends but do today's players maybe not have an advantage in terms of 21st century technology?

So do you think past greats would have been even better football players if they had played football in the 21st century?

doubt it and we'd never be able to prove it

but thinking about this logically if Pele and Maradona had play in the games of today with the same training back then, they wouldn't be half as fit as the current crop of players.

As for the players now I doubt they'd be able to kick that ball back in the 70's the same way they do now...
