pastel might been installed over and over. Check with the user which version is the one being used. Do not be surprised that you can actually have an older version running together with a newer (I have loaded pastel 2007 and 2009 in the same machine working independent).

The important thing is: backup the all the companies (even if they are duplicated, sometimes are different financial years). Also open pastel and backup the installation codes (under Help/About). You also get the Build number which is important as well as you must leave the software running on the same build number (otherwise some companies might not open). If the installation is a different build, you can download the patches to upgrade to the right build number.

If you are re-formatting the machine and you keep exactly the same name of the machine, you can use the same codes without having to call pastel to activate the installation. (Base serial number, access code and product serial number). But if you change the name, the same codes will not work and a new activation will be necessary.

I have a problem and dont know how to fix it.
Old sales orders that were linked to invoices or deleted - the inventory item still hold item on sales order.
1) Opening process customer - sales order - the sales order is not there due to it being invoiced or deleted.
2) Opening item that was on deleted sales order - shows item is sill on sales order
3) Run View inventory quantity - Sales order - drill down - the deleted SO and item still there

This makes my available stock quantity incorrect.

I have done a rebuilds batch quantity but the problem is still there

Hope it makes sense.

Contact Pastel support - you might need a stock fix.

Also try removing the tick under setup-inventory-sales orders reserve inventory (rhs)
