Originally used one of the mirrors from wowwiki so you will still have to scan the file for virus's ect. as this was downloaded on a nix box.

sorry, my client did something weird. It tried to download part 1 again, was arb. It never actually downloaded it it just re-verified that part 1 was downloaded

Thats not true if you copy the files into your wow directory the blizzard downloader will run through it to check if its not corrupted and is realy a wow patch. Should not take longer that 5 minutes to check

just use the EU patch

EU patch won't necessarily work on the US client...

the EU patch will definitely NOT work on the US client. made that mistake once before.

get a MPQ EDITOR and edit the MPQ file from us to eu (yes thats the only differance 2 x eu where the us has 2 x us) patch whit eu patch and re-edit it back to us version. And Bobs your alt

How big is the second part? (I'm on local so I can't check)

they havnt released it, it'll prolly come tonite, or next weeks reset. and then prolly a a little patch on the day it goes live to bring em together. then servers are gonna crash cos of some bugs, and several minor patches later we back to the same ol' complaining, but with new content

My guess 7th December most last part of the patch download will be available with the patch hitting live servers on the 14th. But I don't think they going to open Ice Crown.

Hi guys, need a bit of help....first time I've downloaded the patch via local links, but how do I apply it...noob question I know I have both parts of the patch just need to know how to apply it etc

Put the folder into your World of Warcraft\Updates folder and open the game. It should pick it up and test the download.
