Patch 3.3 problem - please help!

I have it all downloaded, installed and working up to 3.3, but when it tries downloading and patching the last little extra patch, it gets to 67% and then just hangs, with the error message 'there were several problems saving the data'. I've looked for help on the Blizz tech support site but there's nothing there that helps.

Please could someone help me out here... I'm already a week behind with the new content

hmmm longshot .... maybe some files are read only and it cannot append to it, remove all read only flags from all files of you wow directory....

This. I was checking the forums earlier and this seems to fix it.
