Patch problems

ok i do realise that you people have seen dozens of these threads but here goes. my brothers laptop is updated to patch 3.1.1 and my pc only to 2.4.3. when i copy all his patches to my pc, mine doesnt want to update them.

i am quite clueless when it comes to wow and its patches. would anyone please explain point by point what i must do?

I would advise simply copying his entire wow folder over to your pc(simply delete or rename yours). That should work 99.999% of the time.

What skurm said. Just delete/replace the WTF folder with the one currently on the pc, as well as font and interface addons. Then you should have an up to date copy, with all your addons (going from 2.4.3 though some wont work anymore). Cant remember the last time I actually installed WoW on a machine. Copying folder is best way to go, between friends, and servers as a good backup

What Wit said... just to clarify - keep the older PC's WTF,Font (if any) and Interface folder aside. Copy the whole WoW folder from the new PC to the older one, overwriting everything and copy the 3 folders back in.
