Paul E. Jacobs has been Chief Executive Officer of the company since July 2005, having previous to that date served as the Group President of Qualcomm Wireless and Internet Group from July 2001. Jacobs started with the company as an engineer in the wireless technology development group in 1990.
While CEO of Qualcomm in 2008, Paul E. Jacobs earned a total compensation of $18,567,015, which included a base salary of $1,112,218, a cash bonus of $2,909,000, and options granted of $14,021,335.
