Paulo Do Carmo of Marketel will chair the public relations working group of WASPA. His involvement in the mobile industry dates back to 2002 and he brings a wealth of relevant experience to his role.

Paulo holds a Marketing degree and various post-graduate qualifications in the fields of Management, Aviation, Business Development and recently in i-Gaming. Paulo has also completed his MBA in Telecommunications through Informa Telecomms, the world's leading standard in mobile telecommunications education. Paulo hails from an Aviation industry background, having worked internationally and regionally for 12 years within its various fields. Paulo's involvement in the mobile industry began in 2002 through Lwazi Interactive, providing innovative information / content solutions to the general consumer market. This developed into equity and management involvement in Marketel: specifically focusing on restructuring the Marketel client experience as well as the development and introduction of new products, technology and business.
Marketel today fits within a holding structure with businesses within the Media, Telecoms, Gaming and Transactional Services fields
