Pay back your bonuses, Eskom: DA

This is cheap politics from the DA.
The DA have known about this crisis and these bonus incentives schemes ever since 2008.
Why are they now only making this noise?
Stealing the EFF slogan of 'Pay Back the Money!' demonstrates the DA has run out of steam and has been reduced to playing the populist, rhetoric game!

Maybe try reading the article before ranting at the DA?

This follows a written reply by Brown to a parliamentary question, tabled on Monday, in which the minister reveals the incentives paid to Eskom executives over the past decade.

So they only brought it up now because they only got the official reply from government yesterday.

So how would you want them to reply? Surely you do not expect all other political parties to now avoid that phrase?

How do you feel about those bonuses? Dont you also feel that it should be paid back?

There have been media reports over the years highlighting the Eskom bonuses.
The audited financial statements of Eskom are in the public domain.
I'm as incensed as anyone else. Pitty it has taked the DA so long to wake up in this regard.
Same goes for all the parasites (parastatals) requiring bail outs.
It seems the DA are in post election paralysis.

Actually they have been going on about the bonuses for quite some while.

to quote:
Van Dyk would be writing to the Minister of Public Enterprises and the chief executive officer of Eskom in an effort to prevent these bonuses from being paid out.

note this blog post was from 2008.

If your concern is about the length of time it took for them to officially object, can you imagine the mindset in the ANC that endorses this by not speaking up all? Government is legally, morally and constitutionally obliged to spend our money wisely, and it takes an opposition party to point out the flaws?

Sies!

Sheesh, bad day?

So, did anyone at DA say the words 'pay back the money'? I see 'Pay back your bonuses, Eskom: DA' is title, and '...for the executives to pay back the money.', all written by the author of the article. No quotes of DA members.

It seems in your mind any sentence that has 'pay back' in, is automatically 'stealing the eff slogan'. How is it their slogan? They chanted it a few times, how is it now 'theirs'? When someone calls me and asks me to 'pay back the money' I borrowed from them, are they stealing from the eff? FYI "Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime" is the eff slogan

If we look at what happened in parliament yesterday, the anc have no morals! They made their "leader" walk free! They will not make none of the people in their "establishment" pay back anything even if it is illegal!

As of now any mentions of the word pay is covered by EFF copyright. As such anyone using the word pay or actually attempting to pay for anything shall be liable for a fine :)
