Hi Guys,

I logged on to PayCity today to see how many fines I have on my name (if any). Open up the search and there is one on my name, but it is not me. Reg CF88232 and fine was in Cape Town. I live in Joburg and have GP plates on all my vehicles. Also I have never even been in Cape Town. Who can I contact down there to get this sorted. No image on the fine either. Fine is for R1500,00. Quite annoying this!

I get SMS's all the time about fines that are for vehicles that I do not own. I just ignore them.

Ineptitude in the department when they assign the fine to a driver's profile.
I'm hoping the same ineptitude will keep them from ever coming after me.
If they do ever go to issue summons, they will notice that the person being summonsed is not the same as the registered driver of the vehicle... and fix the problem.
 
I've got about 10 sitting htere for a light that is zoned for 60 but is actually 80 (as you can actually see in the picture).

Been almost a year and haven't heard anything.

I doubt they'll come after you in another province and how would a road block work anyway if you don't have that number plate?

Scary ****...I swear that was my last bike's number plate. Let me go check some photos quick.
 
I doesn't seem like they bother following up with fines these days. I just checked the payCity site and I have 13 fines outstanding dating back from 2009 :whistle:, yet I never receive more than just the first notice.
