Paying by Credit Card safe?

I've bought WOW yesterday and want to create my new account, but I see that one need to fill in you credit card details, although the first month of play is free. Are they automatically going to subtract next month playing fees at the end of my first month and what happens if I want to skip a couple of months and only play on a month to month basis? Did any of you experience unauthorised debits?

its worked fine for me

once you have signed up you can go to ure account management page and remove it if u like ... it only debits ure account when ure time expires. otherwise you can buy gametime from ure local store ... and u can not pay for your account if you want. they wont delete it or anything, u just wont be able to play unless you topup again

It's pretty safe, they double charged my CC on two of my accounts last month, before I could even report it they sent me a Mail letting me know that there was a mistake and they would refund, two days later the money was back in my account, without me even having to report it. so even when they make mistakes they fix them quickly.

Bare in mind when you subscribe it assumes you want to continue payment in the next month and will deduct without warning.
