Paying for OS upgrade?

R100 exactly sounds dodgy...if so I bet it when right into his back pocket....:p

I think the real issue for me was the bad treatment she got from the iStore, if you have a charging policy, be nice about it. The problem is that I have experienced too many young arrogant sales staff that look at a gray person and imediately decide that you're a tech idiot, but what I forgot about IT he might never even learn. They also forget that we probably have the money to afford the cool gadgets that he's trying to sell.
Case in point is this lady, she owns 2 iPads, an iPhone, several iPods, a Mac laptop and a Kindle.

I have just returned from Australia and went to the closest Apple Store which happens to be in Robina, on the Gold Coast.
The experience was amazing compared to our iStores. The staff member I dealt with was knowledgeable, polite and efficient.
Within minutes I had my iPhone 5, Apple TV and a few extras. On my way out all the staff(and there were many) stopped what they were doing and clapped till I had passed through the exit. How good it made me feel!
BTW. I went on a Monday and the shop was so full of browsers and shoppers it looked like a Super Sale Day.
Roll on the day Apple opens their own Apple Stores here.
PS. Their Genius Bar( Technical side) may also charge if the products are out of warranty and because they do not want customers to wait, they advise pre booking a time.

When I last went to an Apple Store it was the one in Covent Garden in London. I had to return the next day as I hadn't made an appointment and that was the earliest they could see me. :o

It does suck that Core would charge R150 to copy you a file, I mean it can't be the cost of bandwidth. However, going to Android doesn't in anyway promise a better experience in terms of that. There are no free upgrades at Android if that'd be the reason for her changing.
