PAYING TO WATCH REPEATS

HI GUYS

THIS IS WHAT I THINK MAYBE IF DSTV DIDN'T SHOW THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER
I WONT HAVE A PROBLEM PAYING THE EXTRA 30 RANDS A MONTH AND ANYWAY INSTEAD OF GIVING US NEW CHANNELS FIX THE ONES YOU HAVE ....WE CAN PAY EVERYMONTH FOR SOMETHING WE WATCH OVER OVER 529 WAS FINE BUT I THINK YOU GUYS ARE A RIPP OFF .......THINKING ABOUT A CHANGE TO TOP TV :mad:
 
It's probably best to have both if you want to broaden your original viewing status. TopTV is just as bad with repeats, at least with DSTv you are getting repeats of current shows :D

Dude, you don't have to scream at us (the all capitals), we can hear you just fine when you type normally.

And anyway, I would venture to say that a large proportion of the people here have already canceled DSTV.

It's just the poor dumb Sports fanatics who "don't have a choice" that continue to support MultiRip-OffChoice. ;)
(if only they used a bit of consumer action and forced DSTV to lower their prices).
 
I have Select1 on DStv and TopTV's Variety and Entertainment package. It costs me just over R300 and from a TV series and News point of view is ideal.
M-Net Series is getting better with new series, and I love TopTV's Retro Channel.
Top One is good, but if you have had DStv you would have seen most of the shows, but they have some really good movie slots too.

One thing I love about the "Top" channels is that widescreen just works. If it is Widescreen, they show it in Widescreen. None of the problems DStv seem to be plagued with.
I just wish Fox Entertainment was in Widescreen, which worries me with "Falling Skies" coming to the channel.

I downgraded from DStv, because for R600 p/m with insurance and pvr, and the constant screw-ups (they messed up the entire season of Human Target week after week, and looking at their forums are still doing so with Season Two), and subsidising sport I never watched, it was just not value for money. DStv seriously need more flexibility in their packages. R250 for Compact to R600 for Premium is one heck of a jump.

Yep, if you don;t like DSTV, then cancel...

Also, the repeats happen - it is not just DSTV! Other broadcasters do the same.
 
You obviously watch way too much TV if you can't find anything to watch on premium, should get out the house a bit more
I constantly have a backlog of shows to watch

Too true, my PVR is 40% full of stuff I haven't time to get to you yet.
 
I'm also gatvol to watch repeats, but then whats the alternative? TopTV not good without the Sport Channels.
 
Recently I have realised that every place has it's repeats. Nickelodean only show 1 new episode a month so they show many repeats, many shows on other American networks go on breaks, like sometimes for 3 months. The CW did that andd they showed reruns... It's just the way things work Do you think overseas they constantly have new things and no reruns, always have something to watch? You wrong if you think that. So stop complaining about reruns, it happens to all of us.
 
1) He is tired of SA because of repeats
2) He has posted ONCE
3) He doesn't know the whereabouts of Caps Lock on the keyboard
