Payment gateways

Launching a web app in the coming months, currently researching payment gateways.

Totally gutted that Stripe isn't launched here yet.

The main attractors there are the easy integration using js libraries and the integrated subscription management.

Does anyone have any experience with a locally available alternative that maybe hits some of the right notes here?

We use payfast . Works well, integrated into many online store apps...

I have experience with PayFast, and it seems to be a pretty good platform. Also gutted about Stripe - have been on their notification lists forever. If I'm not mistaken, it is quite a challenge for Stripe to enter African markets - something about the financial policies we have or something, can't really remember.
