Could anyone please explain the logic? How does it work that Telkom 'does not guarantee' their ADSL service BUT, as a customer I must 'guarantee' my full payment every month before a cut-off date or else, the dreaded line suspension, no matter if the service is so unstable I cannot use it for two days out of the month...?
So far, my DSL router/modem had to sync with the server 586 times the last 20 hours. Is it possible to get a stable download...? What's going on here!?!?! Sheesh.
Last week the same thing happened. Phoned the ADSL service guys. Only phoned me back after hours the same day and asked if I still experience the problem. By that time the connection became more stable and it seemed like the problem was gone.
Today the same thing is happening. What do I see them do? Here's how the conversation will go:
Me: Hello, there is a problem with my line. It keeps connecting then dropping after two seconds only to do the same thing over again.
Telkom: What's the number sir?
Me: 012 ___ _____
Telkom: It seems to be testing ok on our side sir. But we will send a technician around. Here's the reference number. _____
Later the day, after hours the Telkom technician will phone me up and:
Telkom techie: Hello sir, this is so-and-so from Telkom. Are you still experiencing the problem?
Me: No it seems to be connecting longer now.
Telkom techie: Do I still need to come and check the line sir?
Me: Is that something you should ask me?
Could Telkom explain their logic?
Do you know how difficult it was to post this damn message?
