Payment platforms prepared for massive Black Friday traffic

Black Friday has become incredibly popular in South Africa, but the increase in online shopping traffic can cause headaches for e-commerce platforms, which may not be prepared for the large numbers of users visiting their websites.

There are various considerations to take into account ahead of Black Friday for these businesses – one of which is the reliability of their payment platforms.
 
I came in here expecting to see a list of sites/providers, and it turns out to be partner content about PayGate. FFS...
 
They are always prepared, then they crash anyway, and then the retailers are like hey, we sold twice as much as last year whilst some buyers are going mad about multiple transactions happening on their accounts, ordered goods gone missing, hickups with delivery and mass order cancellations.
