I noticed something now

On the classifieds some of the ads has a buy now button for example

Product costs R2200 when you checkout with paypal it gives it as $2200

I know paypal doesnt support rand itself but I think classifieds users should then post a price in dollars then with in the description the price in rand or how would this work ?

Rand is "supported" by PayPal automatically converting the Rand value into Dollar. The mistake is not with PayPal, it's with the n00b programming on the classifieds section. I sell items in Rand to other people, when they pay via PayPal, PayPal automatically gives them the Dollar equivalent.
