Hi,

I logged a dispute for a partial refund from paypal to what i thought is a very simply claim.
Took them 6 weeks to get back to me and they ruled in favor of the seller.

Basically, they promised a free gift with an order, i didn't get the gift, their reply was:
the xxxx is gift. We can give it to you for free in the next order.

so my question is....can you dispute a pay pal decision , and how do you do it?

No idea
Ive only refuted once about 10 years ago on eBay and PayPal paid me back within 2 hours and I made about R150 profit coz the Rand had gotten weaker since my purchase so when they paid me back in Dollars I scored with the currency exchange.

Good Luck

Seems like school fees. If the base order needed the gift to make it worthwhile then you should've shopped around since the gift is not a given (pardon the pun).

Via paypal support (afaik) what I did with CyberPunk2077; otherwise if you have enough evidence do a credit reversal?

The xxxx is gift? What is xxxx?

Also, you state it was a partial refund. How was the value of the partial refund determined if the gift was free?

not sure how it's relevant, but i purchased a drone, and the free gift was a prop guard.
and i need that prop guard....if they had no intentions of giving it i would have purchased it separately.

EDIT: also due to the fact i wasn't given the prop guards i still haven't used the drones, because i can't fly it indoor without the prop guards and didnt get a chance to take it out yet.
i got this drone mostly for indoor flying, so basically , free gift and all but because i didn't get it , i didnt even fly it yet.

Are you able to return the drone on the basis that the free gift did not come with it? That might push the seller into delivering instead of them going through the hassle of returns.

I think the mistake here was trying to get a refund on a 'free' gift. Paypal very rarely sides with sellers so there has to be a good reason why they did in this case.

In the few times i logged a paypal refund, paypal was on my side, even had a situation where i ordered a 128gb phone, got a 64gb and didn't have a proper proof (the invoice didn't specify the amount of storage), i got a full refund.

if paypal would have told me, you claiming for a gift and you are not allowed i would have said fine...but they saying i recieved it, based on what? a tracking number?i proved that the props were not in package and the company admits it. very strange.....

I don't understand. If the gift was free then what is it you want refunded? A partial refund of R0? As long as you got the item you paid for, I don't see how you can expect a refund of any sort. I've no idea how to dispute a PayPal decision though.

easy, they sell the item for $6.
but ....this is all irrelevant because paypal are not even claiming that.

thanks for also answering my question :)

So, if i do a google ,google quick answer will say there is an option to appeal a decision if there are new evidence.
but if you click on the link the article is gone.
I did contact support via the chat, and hopefully they will get back to me.

By the way, i wouldn't recommend ordering anything from FLYWOO, their service is really bad.
i will probably order the same prop guards from banggood.
