I realised earlier, I have a PayPal account with about $800 or so sitting in it.
I have never used PayPal before.
However, the PayPal account is "verified" (via the usual process) and linked to a local Nedbank account of mine.

How do i move those funds from the PayPay account into the Nedbank account.

If I click the "withdraw" button, i get an "Add a Bank Account in the United States" option only - no option to move / transfer the funds into the linked Nedbank account.

AFAIK this should be done from the bank's internet banking suite. This is how FNB operates... you add the Paypal to your FNB account and then just withdraw funds. However I think this should be within 30 days of receiving it.

Your paypal account must be linked to your local account. After this is done, you can select the paypal account and choose to withdraw any funds you have in it (at least this is how it is for FNB).

What you need to do

I landed up linking my investec account without problem

For those who run into the same problem:
If you have Capitec / Investec / Nedbank accounts (i assume STD bank as well), you HAVE to create a profile with FNB, as FNB is PayPal's South African partner bank.

However, whilst you can create a profile & link it to your regular bank account, you may as well open an FNB account (since you have to jump through the same hoops).
This will reduce various interbank charges & funds are available quicker.
