Other resources point that MS is quite obscure with the details of the service. That's exactly how I knew it can be safely disabled. Disabling it really improves logon in a domain environment.
Doubt it to be honest.
It could be some driver/software issue.
Have you installed any new hardware or software lately?
I dont have any usb devices plugged in

I've had a look at your bootlog. A few things to help you analyse it.
Shows you each instance of a boot attempt into Windows. This basically shows you what is/isn't being loaded at that point in time.
Multiple instances of:
basically tells you that your networking components are not being loaded. This is most likely when you were booting into Safe Mode.
Multiple instances of:
your graphics card drivers are not being loaded.
There were also a few hundred/thousand consecutive lines of:
I'm pretty sure that this is one of the culprits. AFD.SYS manages MS's Winsock TCP/IP protocol. I suspect that it might be conflicting with your NIC's drivers, which would explain why your machine boots into Safe Mode when networking is disabled.
I've been doing a bit of reading and there are also known issues with this driver and ZoneAlarm. Do you perhaps have ZoneAlarm installed?

When my computer starts up my graphics card is definitely more stressed than before..

Load up www.revouninstaller.com
Uninstall in advanced mode your Graphics card and also your Networking Drivers.
Remember to download the latest drivers first. After uninstalling both (you can do both and restart) install the new drivers and see if it makes a difference.

Ok to get this straight:
1- Download latest drivers for my gpu and networking drivers
(where can I download these)
2-Uninstall gpu drivers and networking drivers.
3- Restart before or after installation of new drivers?
Restart first, then install GPU, restart, Install NIC, restart. (or vice versa, just as long you install and restart each seperately)

Well, you download it from the Manufacturer. If it's an ATI card, you get it from AMD etc. If it's a Realtek NIC, you get it from Realtek

Sorry I might sound like a bit of a retard but where would I check what NIC drivers are installed?
