Hi

I need some help with my pc's
I have a gaming pc and i am building a office pc/extra pc.
Gaming pc specs
>Q6600
>MSI P45 Neo
>2X2GB DDR2 800 RAM(overclocked to 1066)
>9800gt

Office pc specs
>E6500
>2GB DDR2 800
>Need a MOBO

I think it will be best to move the p45neo, 2x2gb ram to the office pc and buy a new mobo and 1333 ddr3 ram for the gaming pc. Would the Q6600 be compatible with 1333 ram, and if so , it will probably underclock the ram.

What can I do with the parts that I now have and a extra R1800 that i can spend.
Thanx.

Save more, flog one of the PCs and build a new system from scratch. Sandy Bridge or Bulldozer depending on your timeframes.

You won't be able to get a s775 DDR3 board that's better than your current P45 new. The Q6600 can run with SDRAM if you want it to as the memory controller isn't integrated in the chip.

For the office PC you can get another 2GB of RAM and buy a cheap G41 or G31 based board.

Use the extra cash to either upgrade your GPU or save towards a whole new system.
