I may be looking to get a new PC soonish and was interested in recommendations on what cases are highly thought of.

Obviously I need something that will keep the PC cool but I also want something that is relatively quiet as well.

Experiences? Thoughts?

The stacker 690 is cool
Also try the antec with the mirror finish. Can't get to the model number now

For R2000 you'll be able to get a good case and a good PSU :D

I like the Gigabyte Poisedon at bout R700 - has a lovely aluminium finish to it and looks smart, neat and clean. Looks similar to the CoolerMaster posted above.

Nothing with flashing lights ... neon ligths ... skulls ... perspex panels

What is the airflow like in the P182?

Would it be enough to keep high-end components cool, keeping in mind that the case it most likely going to be under my desk.

Raidmax Aztec :)
Or the Gigabyte iSolo

That's just cos those are the two cases I'm getting. I'll let you know how good they are sometime this week.

Can't comment on that, as I don't have one, but if I had the cash I would for sure. CustomPC SA did a huge test last year, and the P180 had the best cooling, and in my opinion, the best looks. I think the P182 just adds some upgrades, and for the SE they added the beautiful mirror finish. I can't remember for sure though, so have a look for some reviews. And on their website.

I'm running an overclock Intel Q6600 3Ghz Quad with 6 hard drives and a 8800GTS in it. I can still run all the fans on their lowest settings. CPU cooling especially is excellent. Extremely Quiet chassis. Coolermaster and Aerocool has got nothing this silent. My stacker with the 6 drives sounded like it was running on train tracks.

I've always felt that Antec has the highest quality when it comes to cases and PSUs.

Thanks for the info. By the way, what are you using to cool your CPU?
