Pc doesn't keep video settings...

Had a 7900gt card and replaced with 9600gt...the problem is after every start-up it looks as if there are no graphic drivers installed. I have to uninstall the drivers and re-install them again before my display goes back to normal. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed, and have tried other versions as well. I do run dual-screen setup.Does anyone know what else to try?

Did you run a program such as Driver Sweeper between uninstalling and reinstalling?

No I haven't, but will give it a try as I am getting pretty g@tvol to reinstall all the time.
