I'm considering selling my PC, can you guys tell me what you think it's worth. I know 2nd hand they don't carry much value.

AMD A64 3200 (2.00 GHZ)
Aerocool Case
1.5 GB Ram
GeForce 5900 Ultra Graphics Card
LightScribe 16x DVD Writer
D-Link Wireless SuperG Card
2 x 80 GB SATA
1 x 200 GB SATA
1 x 320 GB SATA
17” Fujitsu Siemens LCD
Genius Laser Mouse

hmmm...you might get more if you break the system up and sell the components in the classifieds section

Yeah, like he said.

Good idea to come here and ask first though.

How old are the various bits? And how fast is that RAM?

I see...Promising.

Does new mean still unopened?

Cos then you can easily look up what they go for on the net and price those parts a bit below that...

You dont have to specify a price in the classifieds - list it as "Best Offer" with pics and go from there.

BTW - imo 'new' means 'new'. You're thinking of 'Good as new' or 'almost new'. ;)

Yeah I know, would best offer not compell me to sell it to the person with the highest offer even if I thought it was worth more?

bwana bwana bwana, he is asking for advice, you cant post replies (aka advice) to classifieds, you can even edit them after they are made.

Go tell whoever programs the site to add those features if you want them...

Doesnt the comments section work then?

AFAIK no, it isnt an auction.

Anyhow - my reference to using the classifieds was both a suggestion and a reminder - that's why the post remained open. :)

Yeah Gunny, make a post there in the classifieds. I have already found the new prices for most of those parts...

bwana must be the sales rep for the classifieds section?

I also think bwana got over-excited - the dude was just wondering what his system might be worth! I see nothing wrong with that & really not necessary to send him to the classifieds section.

Nope - sales rep implies actually selling something - the Classifieds section is, afaik, free to all forum members.

As for getting over-excited I think I covered that.
