PC HARDWARE Benchmarks show how much Spectre and Meltdown mitigation slow Intel chips

I found this interesting, perhaps not including the latest Intel 9th gen, though something to consider when looking at benchmarks seeing how large these patches can influence performance.

Intel PR article states otherwise, but glad this guy did a application by application testing methodology. Apple may be accurate with their up to 40% mark. AMD is going to have much new business coming in soon. Retribution time.

No one will disable hyper threading, nothing will change regarding performance, it will blow over just like the previous one and life will go on as per normal.

Hosting providers and other service managing and service providers will have to take the risk into consideration and how to 'mitigate' the risk. It is the ball game, and AMD won't be losing out on the commercial (and enterprise) side.

Say you host a compromised service and all user inputs are tracked and saved, as shown in the concept, then you are screwed. Especially in the EU.
