T gurus I need your help. I have an asus P5KPL-VM socket 775 motherboard.
Intel pentium dual core E5200 @2.50hz
4 gig DDR2 ram
Now my problem is that this pc has 32 bit architecture and I want to ask if its possible to upgrade this pc to 64 bit architecture or to modefy it to a level where it can support virtualisation. Can you please tell me what I need to do to achieve this ,that is if its possible. intend to use this pc as my lab for studying windows server 2012 which only run on 64 bit. please help and forgive me if I have provided background info I m not that tech savvy TIA

The PC will run a 64bit OS, as far as running Hyper V for a lab is another story.

You would need a CPU that supports virtualization. The E6600 does.

Q6600 would be nice with it's 4 cores, should be able to pick a second hand one up for cheap, see carbonite forums.
