guys im planning on getting a FULL HD monitor for my pc nextweek , but i read something about HDCP and that it has to be complaint in order for the vids to work properly at full HD quality . now the monitor i want to buy isnt hdcp compliant. will that cause problems ?

i have 2.1 creative sound so the sound quality doesnt bother me really but i read that you need drivers for it aswell thats HDCP ? . if i really want to i could use my seinheizer headphones?

or wont that work ?

im not to clued up on HD and HDCP .

what if my gfx and sound and monitor and drive is hdcp? will il get full quality ?

what if i only want the monitor and the drive ? will i get the video quality and not the sound ?

i fear greatly that when i purchase this monitor i wont be able to watch things in full hd because of hdcp ....... which beats the point in buying the screen anyway

:confused::confused::confused:

You can watch HD videos on a monitor that doesn't support hdcp. You only can't watch hdcp protected videos like bluray movies and certain paid for downloads that are protected unless you use an app like AnyDVD HD that disables hdcp.You won't have any issues watching free HD videos like trailers, youtube vids or illegally downloaded vids.

you are going to get at least a 42" monitor for your PC?

if you are using a modern video card, you don't have to worry about HDCP. I think it would be safe to say that if a card has DVI and bought in the last 2 years, you should be safe. perhaps give us the monitor and video card you will be using.
