considering budget limitations I'd suggest GPU & PSU

(PSU coz some higher GPUs require more power than the 300w will allow).

Find out if it's 64 or 32bit windows. If 32 then the 4GB is not fully being used... Then you might aswell take out some.

The Graphics card should be ugraded. According to Nvidia's website, you need a GTX 580 to run Battlefield 3 smoothly.

As I understand it that is only on ultra at 1080P and some people are saying they get away with that with an overclocked 570, anyway game will certainly run with a substantially weaker card than a 580.
