Hi there. I've been having some pc issues from today. My sound is a bit laggy. Like intermittent it's going trr and then back to normal. A bit hard to explain. Also happens when I watch a movie.

As my pc is intermittently freezing for half a sec every few sec

my pc specs:
Intel q9450 @ 3.2GHz
MSI-P45 platinum
4GB Apacer RAM
Geforce GTX280
Corsair 650wTX
Cooler master sniper case
5HDD
1x SDD for OS (2months old)

anything else?

so I powered my pc down and unplugged the power cord and network cable for 5min and then boot it up again and my problem is gone so far.

Can it be the motherboard? I remember with my old mobo that was also a msi p45-platinum the CPU Power died.

ok but what is funny is that I unplugged my pc for 5min and now it's fine. looks like something is not getting the right power

I would have said its a driver issue, but it seems the old Reboot and Retry trick worked :)

jip looks like it. If this happens again I will take my motherboard back to supplier

NO. You need to go buy a brand spanking new Sandy Bridge system!
