Hey guys, hoping you can help me with this.

My PC started freezing a few times lately and today it happened about 3 times. It freezes and the screen goes a funny colour.

At first I thought my was overheating, but my motherboard/CPU is running at 50-55 degrees (still hot, but not anything overboard) and my GPU is running at 43 degrees.

I then got a registry cleaner (CCleaner) and ran that, but the problem still persists. Any ideas on what it might be?

System specs

Windows 7 32 bit

i3 3210 3.3 ghz
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 (Socket 1155)
Radeon 7850
8gb DDR3

Can anyone help me out here?

Such a fail.

I was going to suggest you update your windows but there is no point since it would be better to format and install Windows 7 64Bit

Change PSU & revert back.
I have a Antec HCG 620 watt PSU, can PSU really cause PC to freeze?

I know, 32 bit only uses like 3.3gb of RAM, but it's all I have. Windows is expensive damnit :|

It sure if you own a 32 Bit windows then upgrade your PC in the future you can just download the 64Bit version. I doubt they will expect you to buy windows again.

I stand to be corrected, but Rickster you are right. You can use the same key, as long as it's not installed on two PC's.. But you will have to reformat and use the same key on the same PC with the 64bit install.

I am having the same issues, without the screen going funny though. I realized it happened sometimes when i was trying to move or copy a certain file. Every odd now and then (2 weeks or so) it would be a different file. Best cause i could think of was the HD and there must be sectors that are bad. The file thats unlucky enough to be stored in those sectors at the time should best be left alone :p Kinda learned to live with it, but yours is a bit more serious.
