PC keeps loosing IP address

I tried to post a question on ASK MY ADSL but i get the following answer: you do not have permission to access this page.
For the last week or more my pc keeps loosing internet access all of a sudden then i have to make a new broadband connection. what can the cause be, could it be that i require a new network card or is there a software clash somewhere?
I am technically handicapped so make the reply simple.
if i am using the wrong thread please advise where i have to go please.

Is it static or is it allocated by DHCP?

the router is about 3 months old and the PC about one year

the ip address is not static.
The wife has two PC'S in the front of the house and they are not affected at all.

Does the PC's LAN adapter disconnect and reconnect visibly ?

are you creating a PPPOE dial up for your broadband connection? how many simultaneous logins can you have?

I go to network sharing center and establish a new connection every time

I dont have a clue what that means as i said i am completely technically handicapped.

Take picture of problem and upload.

Also uninstall LAN drivers and reinstall.
