PC Monitors - Viewsonic extended :D

My 19" Viewsonic CRT(E90F) died on me about a month ago. To many lans!!!
But she did her job and it's time to get myself a new baby. What does one look at nowadays? I'd love to get a Viewsonic again but the only place a spotted one in PE was at Hifi Corp (riiiiittteeee). I’ve heard that the LG's aint bad, and some roamers about some of the Samsungs to. Any ideas???

I love my Viewsonic VP191b, 19" of pure lurve. The response time isn't the best but it's acceptable, colour accuracy and brightness is awesome, great build quality.

...so whats your budget like?

i do not skimp when it comes to monitors - i do a lot of photo-editing work thus its my primary interface to my pc. also monitors only get replaced every few years or so - so might as well get a good one.

Re CRT vs LCD, I'm definitely for LCD. But you really do get what you pay for. and you have to consider several factors (panel type, speed, image quality, price, etc)

Last year I upgraded my 19" Sony Multiscan G420 to a 21" Samsung 215TW.

All I can say is WOW. The Sony was a great monitor - but the Samsung is just awesome!

If you're on a budget you can't go wrong with the Samsung 940BF or the BenQ FP93GX.

I've got the BenQ and I'm very happy.
