My PC is making a vibrating pulsing nice every second or so. I have stopped each fan individually but it doesn't seem to help.

Any ideas?

Psu fan? Cpu fan? My work pc does this and it doesn't have any other fans besides those two. I couldn't be bothered to find the source though.

I stopped the fans one by one and it carries one.

Sounds like the hard drive vibrating against the chassis.

That's possible, I will try unplugging the HDDs.

The sound card sounds great BTW

The process I'll follow in your case: 1) DVD-ROM, 2) HDDs, 3) GPU, 4) loose bracket or side-panel

If it relates to none of the above, then I think it is time to take everything out of the chassis give it a good clean and put it back and ensuring it is all nice and secure.

It's just been put together so no dust and everything is clean.

I unplugged the one HDD and it stopped, so it seems that it's definitely that. Any remedies apart from scrapping the drive?

It's probably just not mounted very well. Try using blu-tac or something around the mounting area of the drive. It shouldn't be too hard to fix.

It's not pulses but contractions. It's getting ready to give birth to a baby pc. The best you can do is make it comfortable and help it breath. Make sure it's not stressed in anyway. Congratulation BTW.

Cool I will also try swapping them around...

Jab I want a babey PC

Overclock your PC. The vibrations will be more frequently, less irritating & by getting some screen flashing util you could always get some sort of a beat & shake going.

Great to hear!

Wrap elastic bands around the drive so that there is elastic between where the drive and chassis touch.

There's very little space, I.e. the drive scrapes against the slot where it goes in. I moved it to the top 3.5" bracket and it seems a lot better.
