When i restart my PC after i installed a application or removed a application, the pic's num lock light come's on and also the mouse, but no display. When i took out the power cable and put it back in after 10 to 20 seconds, then its fine. It only happens when i reboot my PC after a application. The Bios is on default settings.

This is my rig

Ati 4870x2
OCZ 4gig memory
OCZ 700w Power supply
Asus P7P55 LX Motherboard

Does this also happen if you press CTRL+ALT+DEL before the PC loads Windows?

All I can think of is that your graphics card is sending the output to the wrong output, in which case you can simply plug in your screen into one of the other connectors to test this...

No it happens when i am in Windows, and then i have to reboot the pc, then i see the monitor is black even if the pc is still booting to go in to windows. Then i shut down the pc, wait a couple seconds and then put it back on again and then the display is fine. It only happens when i reboot the pc if i installed a program or uninstall it. I can play games fine and run benchmarks fine, but when i reboot the pc then its gives me kk.

Man, I'm facing a similar issue I've tried 3 monitors via RBG to VGA, cleaned the ports. That makes no difference. Tried different connection methods. I really don't kno now. Start thinking the VGA port is dead. Person reports it was working two days ago.
