Hi - anyone who can assist or know of someone who can help out.
Ive tried two shops already without much luck:- they unable to find any fault.
Have a gaming pc that is excessively noisy- fans blowing all the time for hours on end even when the pc is idling.
All the temps are fine
Setup - Bitfenix prodigy micro atx case
intel core i7
Corsair H80i GT
MSI Z170i Gaming Pro
MSI GTX980
16 GB ram
Happy to change/upgrade any components just to get the noise down.
Thanks

Are you sure your PC doesn't have high-speed fans installed?

If you don't come right let me know, I could check it out for you sometime.

Otherwise maybe try Anstek or RBS in Newton Park?

Only fans installed are from the liquid cooler or those that came with the case.
I did try Anstec - but thanks for the tip and your kind offer

Are you sure you don't have super hearing?

Seriously though, they weren't willing to sell you some or other super silent fans?

Said they could not find any fault. Pc is now louder than ever. I don't mind changing the case, upgrading or changing the fans and cooler. I find it unusable with the noise

I've got a video I can WhatsApp if you wanna hear what I'm talking about or perhaps upload here

Ok it is alot louder on the video than it actually is but you get the picture

Well this is my point. If you came to me with a pc you thought was too loud I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find something to sell you that would make it quieter. Whether I thought it was too loud or not would be of no consequence.

Just seems odd they would effectively turn your business away.

Anyway I'm derailing your thread. I'd offer to help but the only supplier I have an account with closed down their PE branch.

What fans are running? The case fans? Are those 3 or 4 pin case fans? Are they connected directly to molex?

Case fans and Gpu fans
Can't answer the rest
No clue

Ok can certainly do that
I'm in Jhb tonight but will sort that out tomorrow when I'm back
Thanks

Another option is to install a fan controller to regulate the fan speeds for optimal performance. Some onboard controllers only have one speed - flat out!
