Hi All,

I bought recently a Gigabyte EP43-UD3L Motherboard with a Intel Core 2 Q9400 2.6GHZ CPU.

Basically whats happening is when i Click Start Turn Off Computer then Turn OFF the PC logs off shutdowns as normal but then seconds later it starts up as if iv restarted it.

Any help with this?

Iv tried turning PME off and Automatically restart on Start up and Recovery

Try doing a BIOS update...

I Had problems with my Gigabyte motherboard not turning off when I turn off, it just stays on after Windows has "shut down".
When I updated my BIOS with Gigabyte's @bios... it's been working fine now!

Well as i said it does shut down fans off and cpu and light goes off screen goes into power safe mode which it done all the time with previous motherboard and cpu and box but it seems to come out of shut down mode and boot up again.

Make sure you do not have "wake on lan" enabled on your bios settings, or in the power manager. This could be turning your machine back on when it gets a signal from your ADSL Router/modem or network.

Reset Bios settings to default/optimized :erm:
