ok guys,

so I am blonde at times. At least I only took off the thermal paste AFTER it started overheating (my ma always told me if you wanna clean something, clean it good). Funny thing is I put the grease on when I built the pc, but it was so long ago, forgot about it.

Now good news.... R380 later and I have a new CPU Fan and Heatsink. Bought a case fan to be on the safe side and a whole tube of thermal grease. And the lucky (expensive) store .... CTT Computers, Clearwater Mall.

What cooler and paste did you get?

I got :

Neon Cooler 775-Pro (ED521-MF)
Thermaltake 80x80x25 highest performance dc fan
Powerful Thermal Compound. (only type they had)

now, to sound like a real chick - the coolest is the CPU Fan has BLUE LED lights, yes BLUE

CPU Now running at 54C (after playing GTR)
Motherboard running at 33C
