PC restarts during graphic driver install

All of a sudden my PC restarts when it gets to the Win XP Startup logo. I have Nvidia Geforce 7300 SE. Only when disabling the graphic card am I able to into xp. Tried uninstall and then re-install drivers but before the setup can complete the PC restarts. Did a format of hard drive and on a new install on Win XP the PC restart in the middle of drivers setup. Tried old and newest driver, same problem. As the PC is turned on there are whitish vertical lines across the whole screen but as xp screen comes up it looks fine. Tried a different monitor same problem. PLEASE HELP

Does your PC have onboard graphics? If so try booting from that. The graphics card may be broken I dont know

No it does not have onboard graphics. I also think it might be the card thats faulty but before I go buying a new one I just want to cut out every other possible problem

Sounds like the card is gone though there's a couple things you can try

Load setup defaults in the bios
disable bios shadow
Install the motherboard chipset drivers before anything else
Install XP service pack 3
then try the graphics drivers
