PC Running now, but no sound?

OK, this afternoon got my Gigabyte G31MX-S2 MB from Sybaritic and got the Raidmax Sagitta Black from PC international. Spent about 1 hour + on putting everything together becasu I struggled to remove the DVD bay cover from inside.

Now everything's sorted besides sound. This MB has 8 channel intergrated Audio chip. I checked BIOS, onboard sound is auto (other option is disable). Installed intel UAA HD driver from the CD, but during installation, my system detected a new hardware called 'media', and auto install or search for driver from CD won't install this hardware, and then when I try to install the realtek sound driver it prompt error. What should I do now?

I am running windows XP SP2, not fresh installed system but old sys (OLD Drivers uninstalled)
 
Probably, but What's that 'media' hardware? I only have another TV tunner card installed but all drivers for this card had been installed already.......
 
Try installing using device manager then telling it to search the cd for the drivers. Worked for my TV card when I couldn't install using the cd

Search the net and found lots of people with this problem. It's the sequence you install your sound related drivers caused this!!

Some people need to install INTEL UAA first before onboard sound driver. But for my Gigabyte MB, it's the opposite. Install onboard sound driver before INTEL UAA, now it install flawlessly, and me heads to reboot and see.
 
Lovely sound is now back to my 5.1 system. Now there's no lag during program loading after XP welcome screen and when I multitask like browsing and TV at the background, both program runs very smooth, CPU varies between 30-50, but much lower than before when I was running AMD 64 3000+.....W00t. Now me wait for Graphic card price to drop.
