PC shuts down when inserting a cd

Help guys...

My pc shuts down when i put a cd in any of the 2 drives i've got.It's both Samsung drives,cd and dvd writers.It happens like 2 or 3 times a week,the moment i insert a cd.The pc is quite old but i don't have any other problems.

Flash the drive with the latest firmware.

Was my 1st thought too.Just flashed the firmware.I'll monitor it and if not worked psu it is.Thanks guys.

In the meantime - have you tried disconnecting just one of the drives from the PSU?
