Hey Guys!

What speaker set for my PC would you recommend for about R600 to R800.

Used for playing music, games, watching series, movies etc. :)

Thanks for the advise in advance!

I was happy with just stereo sound for my PC for years but recently got a Logitech X-530 5.1 R945 and it's great, though there are some for cheaper. I used to have quadraphonic sound with my Hifi until it was stolen and forgot how much it adds to games. Horror games especially that really take advantage of surround sound are much better with 5.1 than anything less.

Awesome tread. :D
I have those triangle 2.1 JBL's ... they are AWESOME. (I can't find the model name)
How does the Z-4's compare? (I need new speakers...mine took one too many falls)

No idea, never heard triangle 2.1 JBLs. :D

But I must say, these Z4s still give me as much pleasure since the day I bought them. Amazing clarity from the tweeters (uses active drivers as opposed to passive drivers which produces crisper higher notes or something) and the sub plays amazingly low bass notes.

Highly recommended.

Are there tweeters on that model?

The Z2300 doesn't seem to have :/

Doesn't the satellite speakers = the tweeters?

Nope ... it looks as though it's only got the single driver :/ It still plays the higher note - but I'm sure a seperate tweeter would have been better ....

Okay, but wouldn't the cost of the speaker rise then, cause I would assume that speakers with tweeters would be seen as "better" speakers than the normal ones'?

I'm sure it would rise by addinh other parts ;)

But I'd pay a little more if it had a tweeter. I think most people would tbh. It's not a *huge* issue as they're still THX certified, so they must reach some standards.
