Don't know, don't think so. Back in the day I just used the windows tools to connect with a phone to the internet.

You can always create a wifi hotspot with your phone and connect that way.

EDIT: Or connect via USB, click on the network sharing center and just connect. It works for a colleague of mine with a cheap-ass Sammy
