I'm having a bit of an annoying issue.
I've been using a Netgear wireless wifi dongle. In the past it worked fine, but ever since I reformatted my PC a few months ago it's been thinking I'm offline, regardless of the fact that I'm connected to the internet.
I'm able to use most programs perfectly fine, but those such as Windows Live Installer and iTunes (when it checks for iPod updates) give me an error saying I need to connect to the internet.
During installation of the Netgear dongle I selected to have the Netgear software act as the main wireless networking package instead of the default Windows program, but it seems to be conflicting with Windows. I've tried uninstalling the dongle, then reinstalling it and selecting the option for Windows to handle the wireless networking, but the problem persists.
So is there any way to get my PC to realise I am connected to the net? Thanks.
