PC to TV

Hey guys

I just have a quick question. Is it possible to connect a PC to a normal 50-inch TV and display the desktop on the TV? The TV does have USB ports as well as HDMI ports.

If so, what would I need to set this up?

Nope, never done this before on a TV. My TV's are still old age.

If both your TV and PC have HDMI, then all you'll need is an HDMI cable.

This is the one if your PC has a HDMI out.

Your TV should have a "PC" port its blue like on the back of your pc. Newer TV's dont have these anymore. Try that. Perhaps check on the back of your pc what ports it has. VGA or DVI. If you have a new Graphics card it might have HDMI or Display port. If you only have VGA (the old school blue connector) then get this: VGA to HDMI

If you have a DVI port, the larger white plug, all you need is this: DVI to HDMI

If you have HDMI, you just need a HDMI cable and with a display port get this: DP to HDMI
