Pc Upgrade Advice

I'd say wait till Ivy Bridge is available.

There's no point in upgrading now if you can't really make use of the upgrade.

Ok so I'm wondering about this again, if I do choose to do a GPU upgrade would it be worth it from a Club3D 6870? I'm looking at getting a 6950 or a 570, it must have 2GB of DDR5 this one? http://rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45_46_50&products_id=8357

Seems like a awful amount of money to put into a GPU tbh, would it not be better to crossfire two 6870's? problem is my motherboard doesn't have crossfire or SLI for that matter.

Or should I just wait for a 7950? they seems very expensive R7000? Also wouldn't my current Pc bottleneck the GPU?

So yeah about 5 questions in there. :) Rebel Tech said it would be better to do the mobo/cpu upgrade than the GPU upgrade.

Dude is there a reason you want to upgrade?

Are you struggling to play games? What is the reason for a new 3k vga card or cpu setup?

If it's just money burning a hole in your pocket buy the 570.

I got the cash as a present, I have this problem where I look for things to spend it on. the 570's all seem to have 1.2GB to 1.5GB of ram, whereas some 6950's come with 2GB or ram. My Pc isn't really struggling to play the game, I just like to keep it ahead of the spec requirements as much as possible.

setting yourself up for buyers remorse.

Don't bother just yet, wait for something worthwhile to come out that will actually make a real difference.

Spend all the money!! :D

I'd try pick up a cheap second hand GTX570/HD6970 (only because you cant crossfire). Seen quite a few already on second hand forums due to HD79xx. Else try and hold out for Kepler, it should help bring down HD79xx prices, and by then the HD78xx will have launched, which being built on the same process, should OC like a beast.

If you really need to spend the money, I would buy a second hand projector or LCD/Plasma.
Does it have to be a pc component?

I saw game have a special on a samsung 40" FHD LED for 4999 and a similar model but 32" for 3999.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm both with crystal clear, should make your pc far more enjoyable.

I have a 32". I'm wondering what crystal clear is and why it would make my PC experience better than not having crystal clear. If it won't then please explain what it is, and its significance here? I'm trying to learn.
