My pc wont boot there are these destinctive beeps coming from it.
1 long one 2 short ones. ive read up on the beeps and apparently its GFX related.
Ive taken out my GFX still same prob.
and my RAM HDD DVD but i still have the problem.
My stats are.
Mobo= Asus M2NPV-MX
Ram= Kingston Value ram 2GB 633mhz
GFX= Gigabyte 8400GS
HDD= WD 250GB
PSU= ISO 350W
CPU= Amd Athlone 64bit +3500
DVD= liteon (dunno the rest)

I was trying to plugin the DVD rom when all these issues happened.
Please Help

Has that dvd rom always worked in the pc?

Anyway you test to make sure your psu is ok? Seems underpowered but with that gfx it should be fine, just check it anyway.

Check that it's not one or both of your ram sticks.

1 long two short and then repeat usually is GFX yeah. Plugging it out without having(enabling) onboard would yield the same result so that isn't an accurate test ;)

So does it have onboard gfx?

Not "maybe" ... but your PSU is definitely underpowered!

Upgrade to at least a 550 Watt or better!

Does that graphics card have a separate power port requirement? Is it plugged in?

To be honest I'm sure even a 400W/450 would be fine. That GFX doesn't use any extra power besides from the pci express slot.

Although for future proofing a 550watt is recommended.

But he's not looking for advice on psus. He just wants his pc to boot.

KK fixed i noticed that when i had to take my DVD out it wouldnt come out the front so i pushed it through the back.
In the process i knocked the main big cable out the motherboard a slight little incy wincy bit out.
Pushed the cable back in and wala it was fixed although im scared of putting the DVD rom back in.
