my pc wont read both my wondows or ubuntu hard drives:(

both get stuck on the start up screen, on windows if i click on "start windows normally" it freezes there, if i click "last known config" it goes to a blank/black screen and freezes or resets. please help me fix this

Wondows can do that...:D

Tried resetting bios to defaults - ensure APIC mode is on?

Edit: I meant try toggling apic mode on or off. ie: if it's on, turn it off. if it's off, turn it on. If it doesn't solve your problem, reset it to what it was to begin with.

Sounds to me like ubuntu has messed up your boot record, ubuntu can do that

Had you tried to repair it? did you install ubuntu before windows?

reseted to defaults, and APIC is enabled, i changed its still getting stuck, both windows and ubuntu

i connected the windows hard drive to my bros laptop via portable HDD case and everything is still working fine.

So it's not the drive (s) that's the problem. At this stage I would be popping out mobo batteries, disconnecting all other stuff (cd's, graphics cards, etc,) and trying to boot a virgin barebones pc. Swapping out each component one at a time. Painful, but a process of elimination is the only way to go sometimes.
