My 7-yo PC (Asus P5EVM) is 'dead'. Powers on but nothing on-screen or activity on network port, so not sure what is happening. Mobo seems to be dead. So I need to try and get stuff off the HDD but the catch is that the 2 SATA HDDs are configed as RAID-0. How can I do this?

as long as the new motherboard has the same controller type (amd -> amd) you should be fine (I think)

If the PC doesn't give the POST beep, it could be the CPU too. Guess you don't have a spare lying around?

Needs to beep twice - REPLACE BATTERY first.

This is the root cause 99% of the time.

Got it too boot with some wiggling on the mobo. Doing backups now. Then replacing mobo

Did you get any post beep?

This could also be a psu issue.
