Hi guys - asking for a friend honest :)

But anyone know of a good and QUICK supplier of:
A. PCB Manufacturing - normally get china (JLC?) or a certain company in CT (rhymes with slacks)
B. PCB assembly - we have used 2 CT companies, but both have given poor results (missed/wrong components)

On both we're being given HUGE long lead-times (3 weeks for PCB, 4 weeks from all components for assembly) which is a problem as we're already behind schedule on our new project and could really do with something rolling off in a couple of weeks.

I really don't want to 100% outsource to China, but given it will save me 2 weeks... I'm tempted.

Anyone know any companies that can give me QUICK turnaround on A and/or B above? (happy to pay a bit extra, and be flexible about quantities)

Thanks for the hint @Naks! I've actually heard of them before, so good to hear another recommendation (maybe it would be worth going all the way to Somerset West ;))

Hi Rich

I own a business based in Durban that does contract electronic manufacturing. Will happily assist. Not sure of the advertising policy here so will pm you the details. Components usually are the longest element but our manufacturing lead time pretty quick - usually less than 2 weeks. Depending on the complexity the bare pcb can also be manufactured locally.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the info guys. I've got quotes out with a few of them!
Anyone here used procircuit http://procircuit.co.za/?
I know the owner very well. They have been in the industry for years. Definitely give them a try.

However, the lead times in your original post don;t seem bad at all. Not sure if you'll get better.

Our boards have about a 2 month lead time, and depending on the size of our assembly run, you'll have to wait for a gap at places like Barracuda.

EDIT: Oops, only saw how old this thread was now!
